Our organization serves as a bridge between individuals, families, and available community resources. Through referrals, supportive guidance, and resource navigation, we help people identify available services, explore their options, and take meaningful steps toward a more stable and independent future.

Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc. is a community-focused nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals and families access information, guidance, resources, and opportunities that support their well-being, independence, and personal growth.
We recognize that individuals and families face different challenges, and finding the right resources is not always easy. Our role is to help bridge that gap by offering guidance, community referrals, and resource navigation based on individual needs.
A central part of our work is Autism Family Support. Through our Autism Parent & Caregiver Support Circle, we provide a welcoming and supportive environment where parents and caregivers can share experiences, exchange information, receive encouragement, and learn about available community resources.
Beyond autism family support, we remain committed to helping individuals and families explore educational, employment, housing, and other community resources that may contribute to greater stability and independence.
At Pathways, we believe no one should feel alone when seeking guidance or support. Our purpose is to help people discover available opportunities, make informed decisions, and take positive steps toward their future.

Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc. was founded with a simple belief: Everyone deserves an opportunity to move forward, regardless of the challenges they face.
Our organization grew from a passion for helping individuals and families who may feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or uncertain about where to turn for assistance.
We recognize that many people face obstacles not because they lack determination or the desire to succeed, but because they may not have access to the information, guidance, or community connections needed to take their next steps.
Pathways was established to help bridge that gap.
What began as a commitment to helping others has developed into a mission centered on education, advocacy, resource navigation, family support, and meaningful community connections.

Clarissa Brooks is the Founder and Executive Director of Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc., a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting individuals and families with resources, guidance, and opportunities that promote stability, independence, and personal growth.
With over 20 years of professional experience in administrative operations, customer service, organizational support, and client assistance, Clarissa brings a diverse background of knowledge, leadership, and practical experience to the organization.
Her professional background includes:
Access: Supports for Living — 2 Years: Served as a Program Assistant in a mental health services setting, assisting individuals with appointment coordination, transportation arrangements, resource referrals, and access to supportive community services.
ManpowerGroup — 10 Years: Gained extensive experience in administrative operations, organizational support, communication, and professional services.
HCC Specialty — 8 Years: Developed valuable skills in administrative coordination, customer service, documentation, and business operations.
IBM — 9 Years: Provided professional administrative support through a contract assignment, strengthening her experience in organization, communication, and operational efficiency.
Throughout her career, Clarissa has developed a strong understanding of the importance of effective communication, organization, confidentiality, and connecting individuals with appropriate resources.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Clarissa brings valuable lived experience that has shaped her commitment to helping others.
As a survivor of homelessness and domestic violence, she understands firsthand the challenges individuals and families may encounter while seeking safety, housing stability, independence, and supportive resources.
Rather than allowing those experiences to define her future, she transformed them into a deeper commitment to advocacy, compassion, and community empowerment.
Her personal journey, combined with her professional background, inspired her to establish Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc. as a way to help bridge gaps between individuals, families, and available community services.

Through her work with diverse populations, Eden recognizes the importance of patience, compassion, advocacy, and connecting individuals with resources that support their personal growth, independence, and well-being.

Alison Forman brings valuable experience supporting youth and families through her work as a Teaching Assistant within a school district.
Her professional background includes working with students who experience emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, as well as individuals with disabilities who may require additional educational guidance and support.
Through her experience in an educational setting, Alison understands the importance of patience, compassion, encouragement, and creating supportive environments where young people can develop confidence, strengthen their abilities, and work toward their goals.
Her dedication to helping students overcome challenges aligns with Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc.'s mission of connecting individuals and families with meaningful resources, guidance, and opportunities.
As Board Treasurer, Alison also holds an important governance position within the organization, supporting financial oversight, accountability, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources.

Camille Bridgewater brings a personal understanding of the experiences, challenges, and responsibilities that families raising children with autism may encounter.
As a parent of a child with autism, Camille recognizes the importance of family support, access to appropriate resources, education, and creating an environment where children and youth are encouraged to develop their individual strengths and abilities.
Her firsthand experiences have inspired a strong commitment to supporting parents and caregivers, promoting autism awareness, and encouraging greater understanding and inclusion within the community.
Camille believes that every child deserves to be recognized for their unique abilities, supported in their development, and given opportunities to grow and thrive.

With previous experience in teaching, he recognizes the importance of education, guidance, and encouragement in helping individuals work toward their personal and professional goals.
Through his community connections, he helps identify individuals who may benefit from resume preparation, job search assistance, and employment resources, referring them to Pathways for additional guidance and support.
His involvement reflects a commitment to helping individuals overcome employment-related barriers and connect with opportunities that encourage independence, stability, and personal growth.

We are not licensed therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, or mental health treatment providers.
Our Autism Parent & Caregiver Support Circle is a non-clinical, supportive environment where parents and caregivers can share experiences, exchange information, receive encouragement, and learn about available community resources.
We do not provide psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluations, mental health diagnoses, clinical assessments, medical advice, or treatment services.
Our programs and services are not intended to replace professional medical care, mental health treatment, behavioral therapy, or other services provided by qualified licensed professionals.
Individuals and families requiring clinical evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, or specialized therapeutic services are encouraged to consult appropriately licensed healthcare or mental health professionals.
Our role is to connect, guide, support, and empower—not to diagnose or treat.
