At Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc., we believe every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, build confidence, and prepare for a successful future.
Our Youth & Young Adult Empowerment Program is designed to support students in 7th through 12th grade through academic assistance and career-readiness resources.
Our Academic Support & Tutoring component is designed to help students in grades 7–12 strengthen their academic skills, improve their understanding of challenging subjects, and develop positive study habits.
Tutoring may be available in:
Mathematics
English / Language Arts
Spanish
Science
Social Studies / History
Academic support will include:
Free tutoring
Homework assistance
Study skills
Test and quiz preparation
Assistance understanding difficult subjects
Academic goal setting
Encouragement and confidence-building
Our goal: Help students strengthen their academic skills and feel more confident in their ability to learn and succeed.
Our Career Readiness component helps students in grades 7–12 explore future education, career, and employment opportunities while beginning to develop skills that can support their goals after high school.
Career Readiness activities are currently being developed and will be introduced as volunteers, community resources, and program opportunities become available.

Interview preparation
Workplace readiness
Professional communication
Goal setting
Job and career resource referrals
Exploring education and training opportunities
Our goal: Help students begin thinking about their future and develop skills that can support their transition from high school toward further education, training, employment, and independence.
Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc. is currently developing and expanding the Youth & Young Adult Empowerment Program.
Some program services are dependent on volunteer availability, program capacity, and participant needs. Services will be introduced and expanded as qualified volunteers become available and as Pathways is able to safely and effectively support students.

We are seeking volunteers interested in supporting students in grades 7–12 in:
Mathematics • English • Spanish • Science • Social Studies
Teaching or tutoring experience is helpful. Volunteers should be dependable, patient, encouraging, and committed to helping students learn in a positive and respectful environment.
