Our Approach to Youth Justice & Reentry
At Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc., we believe reentry preparation should begin before a young person returns home—not after.
While youth are in a juvenile justice facility, we create opportunities for meaningful conversations, education, encouragement, and preparation for the transition ahead. We want young people to begin thinking about their future, their goals, their choices, and the life they want to build when they return to their communities.
But our commitment does not end at the facility door.
As young people re-enter society, we continue to walk alongside them by helping them navigate the next chapter of their lives and connect with the appropriate resources, professionals, and community supports they may need.
Our goal is to create a bridge from placement to community—helping youth move forward with greater awareness, hope, confidence, and a vision for their future.

Safety, Treatment & Advocacy Resources
If a young person or family has concerns about safety, treatment, conditions, possible abuse, neglect, or mistreatment while involved with the juvenile justice system, we can help identify appropriate advocacy, reporting, legal, and support resources.
We do not conduct investigations or provide legal representation. When specialized assistance is needed, we help individuals connect with qualified professionals, attorneys, agencies, and organizations that may be able to assist.

A young person's past does not have to determine their future. Through advocacy, education, resource navigation, referrals, and community connections, Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc. works to help youth identify positive pathways forward.

The Youth Justice & Reentry Advocacy Program is currently in development.
Services will be introduced and expanded as Pathways develops the necessary volunteer support, community resources, referral relationships, and program capacity.

Our Role
Pathways to Work & Housing Resources, Inc. is a resource, referral, education, and advocacy organization.
We are not attorneys, therapists, psychiatrists, healthcare providers, law-enforcement professionals, or investigators. We do not provide legal representation, mental-health treatment, medical services, or investigations.
When specialized assistance is needed, we help individuals connect with qualified professionals, agencies, and organizations.

The Youth Advocacy & Empowerment Program is dedicated to the memory and legacy of my parents.
My mother had a genuine love for children and young people. Her compassion and care continue to inspire my commitment to encouraging, supporting, and advocating for youth.
My father was involved in prison programs supporting adults, and his commitment to helping individuals navigate difficult circumstances helped shape my understanding of the importance of advocacy, second chances, and human dignity.
Together, their lives and values inspire this program to stand for youth who need encouragement, guidance, advocacy, and someone willing to believe in their future.
