Program Overview

The Career & Job Readiness Program is designed to help youth and young adults develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to prepare for employment, career advancement, and economic independence. Through career exploration, employment preparation, skill-building activities, and resource referrals, participants receive guidance and support as they work toward their professional goals.

Program Age Range: 18–24

Program Purpose

To empower young adults with the tools, knowledge, and resources necessary to successfully prepare for employment opportunities, develop career goals, and build pathways toward financial independence.

Program Goals

Increase employment readiness skills. -  Support participants in exploring career interests and opportunities. - Improve confidence in job searching and - interviewing. Develop professional communication and workplace skills. -  Assist participants in creating career action plans. - Connect participants with employment resources and training opportunities. - Encourage self-sufficiency through workforce development.

Career Exploration & Planning

Participants receive guidance in identifying their interests, strengths, skills, and career goals.

Resume Development & Application Support

Participants receive assistance creating professional employment materials.

Career Workplace Ready Program

Participants learn strategies to confidently approach employment interviews.

Mock interviews - Common interview questions - Communication techniques - Confidence-building exercises - Professional appearance guidance - Follow-up and workplace communication skills

Participants increase confidence and preparedness for employment interviews.

Workplace Readiness Training

Participants develop skills needed to succeed in a professional environment.

Job Search & Employment Navigation

Participants receive guidance on identifying employment opportunities and navigating the job search process.
